Join Captain Nancy Erley as one of three learning crew aboard her beloved Orca 38 Tethys this summer. Tethys is based in the historical Victorian seaport of Port Townsend, Washington. The 8 night live aboard trips begin and end in Port Townsend and cross the Strait of Juan de Fuca into the renowned cruising grounds of the San Juan Islands and possibly the Canadian Gulf Islands. The scenery is spectacular with safe anchorages around nearly every corner, evergreen trees, sculpted rocky outcroppings and snow capped Mount Baker watching over all. Orca whales, bald eagles and stellar sea lions are among the residents, and we will be traveling in their habitat. It is a lovely setting for the individualized, practical hands-on sailing and cruising skill building from beginner to expert.
